Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 20/04/2026

At STOCA, we believe in keeping your data secure and your browsing experience seamless. This policy explains how we use cookies and similar local storage technologies on our platform.

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a website. Local storage is a similar technology that allows websites to store data directly in your browser. We use both strictly to make the STOCA platform function properly.

2. How We Use Them (Strictly Necessary Only)

We do not use any third-party tracking, advertising, or invasive analytics cookies. We only use technologies that are strictly necessary to provide the services you request:

  • Authentication & Security: We use secure session cookies to keep you logged into your account as you navigate between chapters and exercises.
  • Display Preferences: We use Local Storage to remember whether you prefer "Light Mode" or "Dark Mode."
  • Study Progress & Quiz State: We use Local Storage to temporarily save your current progress within an interactive quiz or exercise (e.g., if you are on Question 5 of 10). This prevents you from losing your progress if you accidentally refresh your browser. This data stays on your device and is not used for tracking.

3. Cookie Consent Exemption

Because the technologies we use are "strictly necessary" for the core functionality of the platform (as defined by the EU ePrivacy Directive), we do not require you to click an "Accept" banner before we use them. Disabling these essential functions in your browser settings will prevent you from logging in or using the interactive features of STOCA.

4. Managing Your Preferences

Most modern web browsers allow you to manage, clear, or block cookies and local storage directly through your browser settings. Please note that if you block our essential cookies, the STOCA platform will not function correctly.

5. Contact Us

If you have any questions about how we use these essential technologies, please reach out to us at: [email protected].
